Texas Loyalty Points, Explained with Numbers

Texas cubes loyalty points: 2 points count as 8 entries, 10 points as 1,000.

How it works: one point per season per category at application; average points for group applications, rounded half up; points reset in that category when drawn; no points in E-Postcard or USFS deer categories.

Example: 5,000 applicants for 25 permits

Model assumptions: point holdings follow a geometric mix averaging about 2.5 points, because TPWD does not publish point counts by hunt. This will be replaced with real counts if an open-records request is approved.
